The Personal Data Controller is the Financial Ombudsman with its registered office in Warsaw, ul. Nowogrodzka 47A, 00-695 in Warsaw. The Administrator has appointed a Data Protection Inspector, who can be contacted in writing at the following e-mail address: iod@rf.gov.pl

The Financial Ombudsman collects your personal data for specific, explicit and legally justified purposes to perform statutory tasks specified, among others: in the provisions of the Act on the consideration of complaints by financial market entities and on the Financial Ombudsman (Article 6(1)(c), letter e and Article 9(2)(g) of the GDPR). Processes your data lawfully, fairly and transparently. Limits the amount of personal data collected to what is necessary. Every effort is made to ensure that your data is correct. It stores your personal data for no longer than necessary to achieve the purposes. Ensures the integrity and confidentiality of your data. It does not process your personal data in an automated manner.

Every person has the right to access personal data, the right to request rectification, the right to request deletion, and the right to request restriction of the processing of his or her personal data. The data subject has the right to object to the processing of data due to a special situation, if his or her data is processed on the basis of, for example, Art. 6 section 1 letter e GDPR. Each person also has the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

From January 2021, we have changed the processing periods for some personal data. The new processing periods apply to cases received by the Financial Ombudsman in 2021. You can read the archived retention periods below.
